hubergroup news release regarding Global Raw Material Markets ( June 2008 )

Globally the aggregated cost for the raw materials consumed by our printing inks, varnishes and additives has risen by 30 percent compared with last year. In addition these costs are continually amplified with increased prices for energy, packaging and transportation, with no foreseeable end. Also, the soaring prices have accelerated in every market during the past quarter.

Hostmann-Steinberg Launches Flexograhic Inks! (June 2006)

With a booming Flexo market, Hostmann-Steinberg introduces the Hydrotop, Hydrowell, and UV Temp series of flexography inks to suit a variety of applications and substrates ranging from folding cartons, pressure sensitive labels, to films, plastics, and corrugated boards. The hubergroup announces acquisition of a controlling share interest in Micro Inks Ltd (Oct 2005)

Formerly known as Hindustan, Micro manufactures inks for all printing processes with vertical integration in pigments, flushes and resins, which are vital components for the manufacturing of printing inks. Hostmann-Steinberg launches QK 1765 (Sept 2003)

The new Rapida Optima QK 1765 ink formulation uses specially developed HiT varnish components, enabling the inks to set rapidly to a hard, scuff- and mark-resistant film surface, making it possible to back up press runs within only five minutes. The new inks also dramatically lower the amount of spray powders required, while significantly reducing blocking and offsetting to a minimum, allowing printers to pile printed sheets higher at the end of the press. read more ...
