A new UV ink for printing on non-absorbent substrates like plastics, metals, etc. is now available in North America for UV Offset and UV Rotary Letterpress applications. This series, which is ITX free, has excellent adhesion on polypropylene, polystyrene and various plastic substrates.

MetalFX®  v2.0 system for gold and non-leafing is now available through Hostmann-Steinberg. The new Gold base allows printers to achieve an extended colour range above and beyond the Silver Base.

New MetalFX® v2.0 Licenses and upgrades from Hostmann-Steinberg include a set of Hostmann-Steinberg’s specially formulated CMYK process inks, as well as MetalFX® base gold and non-leafing silver inks.

A complete line of MetalFX® process inks are available for a wide range of applications, including sheetfed offset, heatset offset and flexographic inks!

Hostmann-Steinberg’s MetalFX flexography inks were used to print the overcover for Flexo Canada’s December edition.  Printed at Cascades Boxboard-Cobourg, the piece was a collaboration between a number of companies who worked together to produce the first flexo printed MetalFX magazine cover.  Hostmann-Steinberg's specially developed flexo inks, coupled with Eckart's base silver and Cascades Boxboard-Cobourg's printing technology, produced an amazingly brilliant piece to be distributed to Flexo Canada's nation-wide readership!

With a booming Flexo market, Hostmann-Steinberg introduces the Hydrotop, Hydrowell, and UV Temp series of flexography inks to suit a variety of applications and substrates ranging from folding cartons, pressure sensitive labels, to films, plastics, and corrugated boards. The One Shot Gloss coating system—designed to enable printers to achieve spot gloss and matte-finished areas in one press pass—is the latest addition to the company’s wide range of available coatings. By applying Hostmann-Steinberg’s Acrylac water-based coating over a matte oil-based varnish, One Shot Gloss eliminates the burnishing and rub problems that can occur with matte varnishes and coatings. One Shot Gloss may also be used in conjunction with a UV coating, nicely complementing Hostmann-Steinberg’s line of high-gloss CURELAC UV coatings, made to run inline or offline.
